10 Style Tips for Your Next Photoshoot

Deciding what to wear for a photoshoot can become a very stressful task, especially when you can't seem to find anything that matches. Styling your outfit(s) can be one of the most important aspects of your shoot and because of that pressure to look perfect it can also be the most stressful; but it doesn't have to be.

At Victory Media, LLC. we want you to feel your best at your photoshoot with us so we can help you create memories that will last a lifetime, so we have put together 10 style tips for your next photoshoot to help guide you in the right direction and relieve some of the stress of picking out the perfect outfit for you and your family.

DRESS WITH CONFIDENCE

Pick an outfit that you feel good in. When you are confident in an outfit it will show on camera! It's especially important that you feel comfortable in your outfit.

COMPLIMENT EACH OTHER

If you are taking picture with other people your wardrobe should compliment each other not clash with a contrasting color. Stray away from matching each other completely, matching outfits are outdated and will make your pictures look awkward and old.

SOLID COLORS ARE KEY

Try to stay away from wearing clothing with heavy patterns, visible logos or distracting colors.

WHEN IN DOUBT

Black and white typically go with every other color, so when a member of your family is unsure of what to wear build an outfit off of those two shades.

DON'T FORGET TO ACCESSORIZE

Add jewelry, dress hats, watches, & shoes.

SPEAKING OF SHOES

While you want to select a nice pair of shoes to wear, make sure to also select a pair that is comfortable to walk in briefly as many times your photoshoot will require walking short distances.

LET'S TALK UNDERGARMENTS

Undergarments can make or break a photo. Skin toned underwear is best for outdoor photos.

LISTEN UP LADIES

Stay away from top & bra combos that don't mix so you aren't showing off bra straps in your pictures.

BRING TOUCH UP STUFF

We recommend packing a small bag with touch up makeup, a hairbrush or comb, and either a rag or wet wipes to wipe off any sweat.

We also offer style guides for each season to help you figure out the best colors to match for spring, summer, fall, & winter photo shoots available upon request.

With our 10 style tips your next photoshoot will look amazing and you will have priceless photos to treasure for a lifetime and beyond!
